How it works

integrated support

You don’t have to choose between “mental health” and “performance.”
We can work on both — because you are more than your sport.

Whether you’re struggling off the field or looking for your edge on it, I’ll meet you where you are with a tailored, collaborative approach.

While I specialize in working with athletes, you don’t have to be one to work with me.
Many of my clients are high-achieving individuals, students, performers, or professionals navigating stress, change, or identity challenges. If my approach resonates with you, you’re in the right place.

I’ve been described by my patients as a straight shooter — compassionate but direct, and focused on helping you move forward. My approach is present-focused, practical, and collaborative. While I absolutely hold space for emotion and reflection, my work is grounded in the belief that therapy should not just be insightful — it should be actionable. We'll focus on building tools, testing them in real life, and adjusting as needed.

That said, it’s important to me that therapy feels like a safe, affirming, and respectful space. I want you to feel seen and supported, not judged — especially when things feel difficult. I believe you can be both challenged and encouraged at the same time, and I strive to do both with care. At the core of my work is a strong commitment to social justice, inclusion, and cultural humility and I bring this lens to my work, recognizing how culture, identity, and systems can shape mental health and performance.

I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help people understand how thoughts, behaviors, and emotions interact. I also integrate tools and strategies from:

  • Mindfulness and self-awareness practices — shown to improve focus and tolerance for stress

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) — for building awareness of values and alignment with these

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) — especially for emotion regulation and communication

  • Strengths-Based approaches — to build confidence and motivation from what’s already working

Starting therapy can feel like a big step — especially if it’s your first time or if past experiences didn’t quite click. Here’s what working with me typically looks like:

Free consultation

I offer a complimentary 20 minute consultation to determine if we are a good fit to work together. It’s a chance to ask questions, get a sense of my style, and talk through what you’re looking for — no pressure and no commitment required. We can also discuss insurance and payment options.

Remote sessions

All sessions are held remotely for residents of California using secure, HIPAA-compliant video platforms (like Zoom and SimplePractice) to allow for flexible scheduling and access.

First sessions

In our first few sessions, we’ll focus on getting to know each other and exploring what brings you in, what’s working, what’s not, and what goals you might have. I’ll ask questions to understand your experiences, background, and what matters to you. You’re welcome to go at your own pace — you don’t need to have all the answers right away.

Building a plan

Once we’ve gotten a clearer picture of what you’re hoping to get out of therapy, we’ll make a plan together. This could involve skill-building, identifying patterns, or focusing on performance and mindset — depending on your needs. I’ll offer feedback and tools along the way, and you’ll always be part of the decision-making process.

What sessions are like

Sessions are typically conversational and collaborative. This is your space and we can use it in whatever way is most helpful to you, but I’ll help guide us if you’re not sure where to start. That might mean talking through what’s coming up in your day-to-day life, learning practical tools, unpacking longer-term patterns, or just having space to think things out loud with someone in your corner. I welcome you to bring whatever’s on your mind. My goal is for each session to feel supportive and grounded in what you actually need in that moment.
